Helsinki Day Two started off with a visit to the Natural History Museum, which shows that not all Taxidermists are serial killers, just the Norman Bates’.

No visit to Helsinki would be complete without a trip to the Sibelius Monument, a tribute to one of Finland's national treasures: Jean Sibelius.

By pure accident we stumbled across this awesome little cafe that served Korvapuusti, no nonsense coffee (the menu literally saying: “no speciality coffees”), and fresh makkara (sausage) to grill over a fire outside. Once the group of tourists in front of us stopped taking photos of themselves grilling makkaraa, we were finally able to warm up by the fire, grill some makkara, and take photos of ourselves.

Annoying touristing done, we went for a walk down the gorgeous river path, before heading back home to change to attend the Helsinki English Congregation meeting that evening.
